QNAP Remote Replication
Note: "Remote" is a bit misleading because if the physical drive in within the same NAS unit as with multi-bay models, it's more like a local replication.

Band Steering
In a typical wifi access point (AP) that can do both the 2.4GHz and 5GHz, your computer either connect to one band or the other. If you want to switch over, you have to do this manually. Certain high end APs have a feature called band steering. Basically, the access point will associate the computer at 2.4GHz first but when it detects too much congestion, the AP will automatically switch the band to that of 5GHz. You do not need to do the switch manually. Below is a video that explains this clearly including why the 5GHz is less prone to interference.

iOS8 Deployment Guide from Apple
Apple has this user guide for the technically minded or those who have been tasked to deploy iOS8 devices in a business setting. Apple is not known to publish any technical documentation on its technologies. This deployment guide is the best that you can hope for. As far as technical documentations are concerned in general, this guide is pretty lite in technical details in keeping with the information-lite nature of Apple in this matter. Because of this, some people erroneously think Apple-centric technologies are easy.

Firmware updates
http://www.foscam.com/down3.aspx
While Foscam makes decent affordable IP cameras, it needs to improve on streamlining the software needed to make best use of these cameras. For starter I still do not understand the rationale for having a system firmware and a webUI firmware for each camera. This is akin to the BIOS and Windows on a PC. For PCs, it's understandable because you might want to install different versions of the OS "on" the motherboard. However, with an IP camera, these two aspects of the software should be integrated to avoid confusion. This is done for network routers and access points where one firmware takes care of both the engine that runs the hardware and the UI through which the user can configure the devices to their liking. Sometimes giving the customers too many options only serves to confuse them.
